How can I start a process instance with process instance variables via Camunda Modeler?

Hey!

I have a question (probably someone already asked it ): how can I start a process instance with process instance variables via Camunda Modeler?

P.S. I’m talking about Camunda BPM diagrams but the same could be with Camunda Cloud / Zeebe diagrams too.

Hello @aivinog1 ,

in which context should these variables be set?
To me, Environment variables sounds like you want to set them on your Host Machine or inside the Container.

Could you please specify what you are up to?

@jonathan.lukas Oops, my bad, sorry for confusing you :frowning:. I’m trying to say that I need to set up some process instance variables when I start a new process instance.

You relate to this dialog:

For now, I only see the possibility to handle this as a Plugin. But I will check back

Hello @aivinog1 ,

seems that right now, there is no Feature Request for this. Please feel free to file one with this link:

Thank you!
