Download optimize plugin from nexus

hi

I’m attempting to download the optimize plugin using the instructions here

the instructions say:
“Please note: to make this work, you need to add your nexus credentials and the server to your settings.xml .”

How to get the nexus credentials in the first place ? The nexus front end at https://app.camunda.com/nexus/ offers no option to sign-up (that I can see).
