Definition instance suspend and instance modification failure

Hey, I encounter the following error when trying to modify definition instance (executing “startBeforeActivity”), when suspended.

Could not apply modification: ENGINE-03043 Execution with id ‘1db45274-5bbf-11eb-b82e-0242ac110002’ is suspended.

For other modification types (cancel) this will not happen. Is it a bug? Is there a way overcoming the problem?
