Audio Quality of the Training/Getting Started Videos

I was just working through the training videos found here: https://network.camunda.org/training/camunda/1
to learn about Camunda’s BPMN process engine and I was put off by the extremely bad audio quality in the videos.

First, the volume is so low that I had to crank the loud speakers all the way up and turn the volume controls in Windows to 200% (max). Next, the audio quality is very bad (feels like audio has been recorded with a Laptop-built-in microphone and compressed to ~1kbps) so that large parts of the words spoken by Bernd Rücker, who otherwise gives a great introduction into the process engine, are unintelligible (even more so for non-English-native speakers).

I would very much like to see a re-recording of those videos with a much better audio quality, because when people first come into contact with Camunda via those videos, it gives a very bad first impression of the overall quality.

Hi Kai,

thanks for your post. You are absolutely right, the sound quality could definitely be improved, especially for non-native speakers.

We are already in the process of updating the video content now and plan to re-record the videos in the coming months and have them posted this year.

In the meantime, I can direct you to the Getting Started Guide (https://docs.camunda.org/get-started/) as a secondary source of information which I am sure however you are already aware of.

I would be happy to send you a quick email once the new videos are up if that would be helpful to you.

Thanks,
Darya
